All priest working and non-working spells/talents, By kazzy and inris Options

Hello,

Me and inris had decided to test all talents and spells for priest to see what works and what doesnt.
The following list will show you this.

If you have any further changes that should be applied to the list, please state it on the thread.

Green=Working talent or spell
Red=Not working talent or spell
Orange=Slightly Works but still has a problem. I also stated next to the spell of whats not working with it.

Inner Focus-This talent dispels with anything the caster casts. Such as a buff, riding mount, etc.
Meditation
Absolution
Mental Agility
Improved Mana Burn
Mental Strength
Focused Power
Enlightment
Focused Will
Power Infusion
Reflective Shield
Renewed Hope
Rapture
Aspiration
Divine Aegis-This spell also sometimes gives the enemy the shield, i think it happens when the caster crits with holy nova or something like that but im not really sure.
Pain Suppression
Grace-Penance does not proc a grace buff on each of the penance's tick. Instead you get 1 each time you cast penance instead of 3. The talent proc's however, it doesnt increase the amount of healing done to the target.
Borrowed Time
Penance-The ticks are unaffected by haste resulting in slower channel times. This spell is supposed to have a 40 yard heal range and a 30 yard damage range. Yet, the damage range is applied all the time, regardless if your healing or damaging the person. Also penance can heal opposite factions if you target an enemy and heal yourself, it will cause the first tick to heal the caster and the other two ticks to heal the enemy target.

Spirit of Redemption-This talent does not reduce mana cost of spells to 0 when in spirit form.
Spiritual Guidance-This talent does not increase/decrease your spell power when you equip/unequip gear that effects your total spirit or gain/loose a buff that effects your total spirit. You have to re-spec each time for it to work.
Surge of light
Spiritual Healing
Holy Concentration-This talent proc's with any spell crit casted instead of flash heal and the one specified.
Lightwell
Blessed resilience
Empowered healing
Body and Soul-This spell does not cure poison. It also does not give you give the 60 percent speed when you already have the shield on you and you cast another one. Also it gives 60 percent speed when shield is dispelled.
Serendipity
Circle of healing-The talent does not work when you are not in a group/raid. The talent also only works on the caster...the 15 yard restriction applies to the caster all the time, meaning if you wanted to heal a warrior 35 yards away from you with Circle of Healing, it wouldn't.
Test of faith
Empowered Renew-This talent only gives 42 hp from the instant renew at the start. It should be doing more.
Divine Providence
Guardian Sprit-The talent does not give the 50 percent health back when you will die also it gets dispelled whenever the person with guardian spirit takes damage.

Shadowform-The talent does not allow the damage over time spells to critically hit.
Improved Shadowform
Shadow Power
Misery-The talent does not allow mind flay/mind blast/mind sear to get 5/10/15 percent more spell power.
Psychic Horror- The talent does not disarm the target.
Vampiric Touch-The talent does not deal damage to the target that has dispelled it.
Pain and suffering- The talent does not reduce damage the caster takes from shadow word death.
Twisted Faith- This talent does not increase your mind flay/mind blast damage dealt. Also the spell power increase with spirit has the same problem similar to the ''Spiritual Guidance'' talent in the holy tree. See that talent for details on whats wrong with it, same problems go with this.
Dispersion

Problems with Priest Discipline spells
1. Mass dispell= This spell is not removing debuffs instead it is only removing buffs.
2. Power word shield= This spell is not stacking with spell power to increase amount absorbed, thats why it absorbs little damage.
3. Levitate= This spell is not lifting the caster high above the ground as it should.
4. Prayer of fortitude=The spell only gives the buff to all party members instead of party/raid members.
5. Prayer of Spirit=This spell only gives the buff to all party members instead of party/raid members.
6. Mass Dispell= This spell does not remove the buffs that are normally undispellable. It should be removing iceblock/divine shield.

Problems with Priest Holy spells
1. Prayer of Mending= The spell is healing too little, not stacking with spell power, also it only gives 1 charge but it should give 5.
2. Divine Hymn= This spell is healing everyone in range including opposite factions instead of healing nearby 3 raid members only. Also it only works when the caster targets himself and uses the spell.
3. Hymn of Hope= This spell does not increase anyone's maximum mana by 20 percent. This spell does not restore mana to the caster instead it restores it to all nearby people in range including opposite factions, instead of just giving the caster and nearby 3 raid members the increase max mana and mana restore. The spell only works when the caster target himself and casts it.

Problems with Priest Shadow spells
1. Mind control= It has been disabled so cannot be used.
2. Mind sear= It is not stacking with spell power, thats why it is dealing too low damage.
3. Shadowfiend= The creature is only attacking opposite faction targets, so it does not attack same faction targets in duels/arenas. The shadowfiend cant be controlled as a pet. It doesnt have its unique abilites such as shadow crawl, defensive, aggresive and passive.
4. Prayer of shadow=This spell only gives the buff to party members instead of party/raid members.
5. Psychic Scream=This spell does not interupt channeling spells such as evocation, penance, etc.

Freaking nub told ya on SexDevil 3 times that shadowform also does not allow dots to crit like biggest bug of all and you forgot it

i care about my class ALOTTTTTTTT.

also it makes life for opti easier and also ill be giving links for each of the spells to give details of what they should actually do.
Just incase my details are not very clear.

Some stuff I'd like to add, if you dont mind

Disc tree
Improved Flash Heal: half works: decreases mana cost but doesnt increase crit chance (afaik, its difficult to test)

Grace: doesnt work: Gives the buff, but doesnt increase healing (well, it sure does nothing with renew ticks, and my flash heals do the same 3.6-3.7k-ish heals with and without buff, though with 3 stacks i think it should do 4k-ish heals), also only affects the caster (if self-heal), though as I understand it should affect the target.

Holy tree
Blessed Recovery: Half working: "Additional critical hits taken during the effect increase the healing received." -this part doesnt work.

Spirit of Redemption: half working: spells still cost mana when in spirit form, also you dont loose 50s when you die with this.

Surge of Light: works, but sometimes (actually quite often) double procs.

Holy Concentration: procs with any spell crit, not only with flash heal and the ones specified.



oh btw, pls fix Body and soul, most important for my priest atm.^^

If Body and soul worked for holy, I would jizz in my pants. It is the one talent that will save us from the OP warriors and pallys, not to mention help us fend off rogues.

Btw I just tested this, Spiritual Guidance does scale with buffs and gear, (or at least spirit buff), it just won't show in the menu. My renew ticks for like 3 more health points when I'm buffed with spirit and I cant find anything other reason it should do that xcept that Spiritual Guidance works.

Inner Focus is listed as red / not working.

Tested it out and I can confirm it works. The 0 mana cost works and I do seem to crit more with it up (hard to test that part, but I do notice more crits). Turn that one to functioning in the list, imo.
